"Purdy! Get away from Biersack! He has to do those push-ups alone!" our teacher yelled.
After he yelled, curiosity took over and I took a minute to look over to where Andy Biersack was attempting to do the push-ups he had had to do because he had sworn. I didn't know how many the teacher had told him to do but I had helped Andy on our fitness test so I knew doing twenty push-ups would have been a miracle.
"But coach! He obviously can't do them!" Ashley Purdy yelled back at the teacher, standing over Andy.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes. The only reason Ashley cared was because him and Andy were dating. I'm not afraid to say that I am homophobic so any show of their relationship made me want to barf, no matter how much I like them.
Coach's face was turning red. I could tell that this situation was frustrating him, knowing that he was also homophobic, but I think the real problem is that Ashley is the best football player in the school. Coach having to see his best player defending his boyfriend must have made him more than a little disgusted.
Truthfully it made us all disgusted. I had seen the rest of the football players completely ignore Ashley, not that he noticed but it showed that the football players didn't like his relationship any more than the rest of us.
"If you don't leave Biersack alone you won't be playing on Friday."
Even with a threat on the game Ashley looked like he was still going to go against the coach. At that point I was right in front of them so I heard Andy tell Ashley to go. Ashley's face hardened but I knew he loved Andy too much to go against him.
I scrunched up my nose at that thought.
With one final huff, Ashley started running and quickly passed the rest of us. If he hadn't had the build of a football player he would have been really good at track.
"Fucking coach, telling me to leave Andy alone, who the fuck does he think he is?" Ashley muttered as he passed me for the second time.
"Hey Ash."  I said and he slowed down to my pace.
"Hey."
"So you excited about the game?" I asked hoping to distract him but quickly realizing that was the wrong thing to say.
"Fucking coach. Why is he so against Andy? I say all sorts of swear words right in front of him and the second Andy says frick he's making him do push-ups."
"You know you could always swear really loud right in front of him so you would have to do push-ups too."
He looked over at me. "Why didn't I think of that? Thank you so much!"
I really didn't understand why he would want to do push-ups but if he wanted to I couldn't really do anything about it. He was probably doing it to cover up for Andy.
"What the fuck? Why do you insist on bitching about your fucking bitchy girlfriend? We all know she's a whore. You're really the only one that doesn't realize that she would suck any dick."  Ashley said right as we passed the coach.
I really didn't know why he picked that to say. I didn't have a girlfriend so I guess he just made it up. A sort of spur of the moment thing.
Coach's eyes widened. By his look I could tell he didn't want to tell Ashley he had to do push-ups. "Purdy! Push-ups now!" he pointed to the other side of the gym but Ashley walked back over to Andy with a smile on his face.
"Purdy! Do your push-ups over there!" Coach yelled, his face turning even redder than before. "You can't help him cheat!"
Ashley didn't listen; he just kept walking over to Andy as if he couldn't hear a word Coach was yelling.
Ashley got down beside Andy and when I took a minute to look back at them I saw that both of their faces had brightened. Anyone could see how happy being around each other made them.
"Purdy! Biersack! Go to the office, now!" Coach yelled and everyone suddenly stopped running altogether and stared at the two to see them kissing.
The whole class, including me, gave a chorus of "ew" but neither of them looked up. They didn't care what we thought, we weren't important to them. The only think that mattered to them was that they had each other and truthfully that was better than what any of us thought. In this time you needed someone to be your rock. Andy and Ashley had found each other and that was all that mattered.
Ive noticed I use the phrase all that mattered or all that matters a lot in my fanfictions and its sort of pissing me off. Ive had this one written and typed for at least 9 weeks so, even though Im trying to stop with the all that mattered, I figured this one should probably be the next one that gets posted. Hopefully Ill get this Brusnop I started two weeks ago done soon so that can be posted too.
So this one is in a different, unnamed persons point of view. Whats you guys' thoughts on that?
Thanks for reading :D
